Simpson 72-Hour Release Access
No official Simpson County 72-hour release feed was located. The jail site describes its online list as current detainees. Its Cadmus portal has no documented archive or three-day filter. The correct local fallback is a timestamped request to the Jailer.
A three-day request should include both community releases and transfers. Otherwise, a result may falsely suggest that everyone who left the Simpson County roster went free. State, federal, immigration, or another county custody may continue.
Request Simpson Three-Day Records
Define the interval before contacting the jail. A rolling 72 hours differs from three calendar dates. Give the opening timestamp, closing timestamp, and Eastern time so the custodian can search a clear span.
- Identify the exact 72-hour period.
- Ask for every release and movement transaction in that interval.
- Request the name, booking number, release time, disposition, legal authority, and receiving agency when those fields exist.
- Ask that transfers remain identified as transfers.
- Use VINELink, court records, and DOC sources to verify a named event.
The detention center contact page provides 270-586-5351 and info@simpsoncojail.org. Describe existing records rather than demanding a custom analysis.
Simpson Release Fields to Request
Simpson County may return database fields, a movement history, booking material, or related records. The following inventory is a request list, not a claim that one report contains every item.
| Field | Use |
|---|---|
| Name and booking ID | Matches the exit to the correct jail stay. |
| Admission and exit times | Tests whether movement fell inside the 72-hour span. |
| Disposition | Shows bond, time served, court order, transfer, or another recorded type. |
| Releasing authority | Points to the court or other legal source. |
| Destination | Shows whether another agency received custody. |
A custodian may redact protected facts, and some requested fields may not be maintained. Ask for the record as kept.
Simpson Weekend Release Windows
No official Simpson source publishes release-processing hours, weekend rules, holiday timing, exit doors, transportation, or family waiting procedures. The three-day interval is useful because it crosses more daily boundaries, not because it guarantees a separate weekend feed.
Administrative entry and public-system updates may occur at different times. Preserve the time of each check. If a court order appears late Friday but the roster changes later, obtain the jail movement timestamp before stating when physical release occurred. Use the 24-hour Simpson release process for a tighter same-day interval.
Verify Simpson Release Results
VINE can show a custody event from the reporting agency. A released event is limited to that agency, while a transfer event means custody moved. CourtNet can identify bond, dismissal, sentence, commitment, or other authority, but the judicial order is not the exact moment a person cleared jail processing.
For state-sentenced people, Kentucky Offender Online Lookup shows current status and location, and DOC Daily Releases provides dated state-system records. It does not cover every local bond, dismissal, or misdemeanor exit. A transfer from Simpson County to DOC is not community release even if the person disappears from the county portal.
Simpson Portal Retention Limits
The Cadmus portal has no documented post-release visibility or update cadence. Kentucky's County Jailer Records Retention Schedule governs back-office duties, but it does not promise that a released name stays online.
The official current portal illustrates the limitation:
View Simpson County's current detainee portal.

Use it only to document current display status at the time checked.
Third-party recently booked pages usually archive arrests and bookings. A stale photograph, current presence, or disappearance there does not establish a county release. Seek the jail transaction instead.
Read Simpson Exit Types Carefully
A bond or recognizance release returns a defendant to the community before the case ends. Time served ends the jail portion, though probation or another matter can remain. Parole releases a state prisoner under DOC oversight. A transfer continues custody elsewhere.
- Release transaction
- The jail record of how and when its custody ended.
- Transfer
- Movement to a receiving custodian.
- Final discharge
- The later end of sentence and supervision duties.
- Detainer
- A hold or request from another authority that may prevent community release.
The distinction matters most in a list of all exits. Keep the disposition and destination beside each timestamp.
Reconcile Simpson Custody Evidence
A court bond order gives legal authority and conditions. It does not show that cash was paid, a surety accepted, paperwork cleared, or other holds resolved. Likewise, a VINE transfer alert confirms movement from one reporting agency but not community freedom. The jail's own release or movement time closes that gap.
For a named person, start at the last known custodian. Search exact identifiers, not only a common name. Read both current status and reporting agency. If Kentucky DOC lists a community supervision location, that supports exit from prison with continuing oversight, not final discharge.
When records conflict, do not choose the most convenient date. Note when each source was checked, then ask the agency that controlled the disputed stage. A three-day list is a discovery tool only after the jail produces it.
Draft the Simpson 72-Hour Request
Seek existing release and movement records for every person who left the detention center between exact opening and closing timestamps in Eastern time. Ask for any maintained and disclosable name, booking identifier, exit time, disposition, authority, and receiving agency.
The phrase “release and movement” matters. A release-only request may miss a DOC transfer, while exits without dispositions can imply freedom where custody continued. The Jailer may return several record types instead of a custom spreadsheet.
Use actual dates rather than “last weekend.” Save the request and response time. A later response does not change the event window.
State Releases Need DOC Records
Some state-sentenced people remain housed in county jails. A Simpson jail location can therefore appear in Kentucky correctional material. When DOC releases such a person, KOOL, Daily Releases, and VINE may all help.
Start with current KOOL status and location. A proposed date, parole recommendation, or eligibility date is not completed release. Daily Releases documents state-system events but not every local movement.
County bond, dismissal, and misdemeanor exits can fall outside DOC data. A blank state search cannot disprove a Simpson release.
